Legion's Gulch - Destiny 2

Legion's Gulch was the first PvP map I created for Destiny 2.

The layout was inspired by some of the action from Halo 3's Narrows map. Initially, as a Control map, Legion's Gulch was going to have its B flag on the center of the bridge, and rotate toward the team spawn upon capture, giving whoever held it a favorable proximity in terms of the flags they held. Ultimately, the design and technology didn't pan out, and the bridge remained static upon ship.

A major art challenge was building the Cabal Tower structure, as the centerpiece of the map. Especially so, because as the bridge moved, the modular armor plates surrounding the base of the tower would fold down to allow the bridge to pass over them, and also double as ramps onto the bridge once in position.
